Friday and Fajitas!

I almost didn't use that title because, well, I have no photos of the fajitas...big group, too many people to take a pic of my food. I did, however, get some good drink pics!

As I mentioned yesterday, we went to my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant for a friends bday dinner...Border Cafe in Harvard Square! Mmmmm.

I wasn't really in the mood for a sweet margarita...so I went for a refreshing Corona Light, with lime. I'm not a big drinker, and there are not a lot of beers I will order at a restaurant...but I do love a Corono once in a whileBrian, and most everyone else went the Margarita route...
I had a few sips! Please note the free baskets of warm salty tortilla chips, served with delicious salsa...so dangerous to have in front of you while waiting for your meal!! Of course I had some, but I tried to be somewhat good.

Like I said, I don't have pics but I had the amazing Chicken Fajitas...SO SO GOOD! I can't wait to dive into my leftovers for dinner tonight.

Office Indulgences

Yesterday at work we found out we were selected for a BIG job...everyone was so tense all day waiting for "the phone call" from this particular city in Massachusetts. It was pretty exciting...as far as engineering goes haha.

Anywho...this morning someone brought in "celebratory" eats:Yup...muffins and bagels. Things I never buy myself, but do love to enjoy when they are fresh and free! If you'll notice in the pictires...two bagels with pieces cut out, and a muffin with a slice missing...

yeah that was me.

I enjoyed about
  • 1/4 of a wheat bagel with lite veggie cream cheese
  • 1/5 of a cinnamon raisin with plain CC
  • slice of a low fat blueberry muffin
and enjoyed every minute of it.

I had packed oatmeal, but I decided I'd just bring it home and make stove top oats out of it tomorrow!

Because this was a very carby breakfast without my usual protein and fiber...I had a late morning snack ofPlain Chobani and sliced strawberries!! Yay Protein!

I am DEFINITELY going to the gym after work...yay!

But more exciting...after allllllll the yoga talk around the blog world lately, it finally pushed me over the edge and I am taking a class tomorrow morning!

Hot Yoga! The description said it is a good class for beginners and I've wanted to try Hot yoga for a while now...I'm so excited!!

Class Description:
Hot Yoga

These classes are suitable for first-time-onto-a-yoga-mat students through advanced practitioners. The hot class consists of hatha yoga postures done in a room heated to the 90 degree range. The sequence is similar to Bikram's with variations according to the teacher. The first fifty minutes are done standing with forward folds, balances, compressions for the internal organs and joints and a triangle series. The practice then moves to the floor for a systematic, safe and thorough spine strengthening series. All levels, 90 minutes *6:15am classes are 75 minutes, ending promptly at 7:30am

No I am not taking the 6:15am class! Although 7:30am is still pretty early for me on a Saturday, but I'm excited enough to not care about that part.

Depending on how I feel after yoga, I would also like to get to dance class at 11...we'll see how that goes!

Happy Friday!

  10. Just came across your blog and I'm loving it! I think we share the same attitude about Corona :) Strawberry Chobani has turned out to be my least favorite, which is strange because usually I love strawberry-flavored things! Who knows. Looking forward to continuing to read!
