"Dissappeared" for Halloween

What happened to me!! This has literally been the first time I've sat at the comp since Friday at work, and I was so so busy at work I had no time for blogging :( Sorry!!

Now for the recap...

After work Thursday, I had to run many errands including looking for anything for Halloween. Amidst my errands I ate a clementine (first of the season!!)
And a Clif Mojo Bar, Peanut Butter Pretzel flavor...SO GOOD! Sweet, salty, peanuty! If you like that combination, you will LOVE this bar.
When I FINALLY got back to my apt a little after 9pm (woops), I was still hungry for something more substantial, so I made a quick little pizza on a low carb tortilla. I added some jarred tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and sliced yellow pepper.

And had a nice big orange sliced up!

As I said before, Friday at work was crazy busy. Then I had to run a couple more errands on the way home, got home, and had to rush to straighten my hair and get in costume. Well my costume was a very last minute suggestion from someone...straightened the hair, wore all black, and bought some baby dolls (one of which I sort of had to alter it's ethnicity)

From left to right we have...Shiloh, Maddox, and Zahara...yeah that's right I'm Angelina hahha...it was pretty funny (please note the homemade Mohawk on Maddox). Brian is a hobo (that beard is makeup, don't worry).
Saturday we had to get up bright and early to be in NH, by 10am for a meeting with a possible wedding florist! She was great, so I think she might be it. Luckily she was located right near our Alma matter...UNH! So we drove around campus...so nostalgic, I miss it SO much!
Also nearby is Portsmouth, NH and Kittery, ME (hello outlets!).
For lunch we hit up a favorite spot from college...Red Hook Brewery. Most breweries have the same pub food, but theirs is just SO MUCH BETTER!
I had a Heffeweisen with lemon...crisp and refreshing!
Brian got the Winterhook, this was also very good but too heavy for me to drink more than a few sips.
The best part was the appetizer...the Tap Room Tenders! These are GRILLED buffalo tenders, and their buffalo sauce is the perfect combination of tangy and spicy...INCREDIBLE! They are so moist and tender and delicious...I want some right now actually. We each had 2, and a few pieces of celery and carrots.

For lunch I ordered something I would only ever order here...the Prime Rib and Cheddar sandwich, it's sort of like a French Dip. At least I order it grilled withOUT butter on the bread. The Jus you dip it in is amazing. I ended up picking off a lot of the bread...there was a good amount of excess. I also had a garden salad on the side with balsamic dressing.

Later on after some shopping and walking, we ended up in Portsmouth (which is a really cute coastal town), and we stopped for teas and coffees (mom and Brian do not like coffee!!). We went to Breaking New Grounds...I had a yummy skim cappuccino and split a rice crispy square with mom.

Brian had a piece of the totally turtle cheesecake...and I might of had a bite too.
Long day! Came home, visited a good friend who was home from NYC, started cleaning and laundry and even made some granola! I loved the Coconut Almond Granola I made last time, so I wanted to try another one. This time I made Kath's Maple Pecan Granola
With just a few alterations...I added a half cup of coconut flakes, and 2T of maple syrup instead of 1. I also like to bake mine at 275 for 30min, give it a little stir, then back in for about 10 more min.

In the oven it goes... Nicely toasted and ready to eat!
The pecans really make this granola, I think next time I may add a few more :)
I couldn't wait to try it this morning! I had about 1/4 cup of TJ's Greek Yogurt, 1 teaspoon of maple syrup and a sprinkling of granola...Delicious!

Check SpellingAnother busy one today...lots more cleaning, laundry, errands then I even have to go into work later to get stuff done!!
Have a great Sunday!!

  7. Ooh, lots to comment on...

I love the costume! Great job on Maddox's mohawk. Haha..

We drove by the Red Hook brewery on the way to Maine this weekend. Good to know it's a fun place!

Love the granola! I think I need to make my own soon. I keep buying new kinds, but that's it, I have to forbid myself from buying another batch and make my own once I run out.

    Have a good week!
