Happy Easter!! We’ll be heading over to my mom’s in a couple hours for Easter, but first a little weekend recap!
I’ve had a pretty great weekend so far and this gorgeous weather is definitely helping.
I’ve had a lot of ME time :) Friday, I left work a little early and decided that if I was going to rock sandals all weekend my feet were in desperate need of some pedicure action!
Massage chairs + fashion magazines = heaven.
Pink toes and light pink fingers.
After my nail time, Brian met up with me for dinner at a restaurant that's been on my list since we moved to this area.
They have their own green house right outside where they grow all the herbs and vegetables used in the restaurant. I’ll get to the review later, but we will definitely be going back!
Saturday
Brian headed up to visit his family and I had the day to myself! That doesn’t happen too often :)
I started with an early morning Body Combat class, and was craving a protein shake when I got home.
- 1 c. skim milk
- 1/2 banana
- 5 frozen strawberries
- 1/2 scoop Amazing Grass
- 3/4 scoop Vanilla whey protein powder
Mmmm hit the spot.
I then set out on some errands (i.e. shopping for something to wear for Easter).
Also made the mistake of going to Whole Foods hungry :)
I had to get a few things to make the dessert I’m bringing today but also decided to get lunch. I couldn’t make up my mind so I got some sushi AND some salad bar/hot bar items!
I ate the salad bar stuff for lunch.
The sushi was saved for dinner, I ate half and also made myself a Caprese salad (also bought all the ingredients for that while at WF’s)
I was really craving this after smelling the basil at the store.
- mixed greens
- tomatoes
- buffalo mozzarella
- fresh basil
- drizzle of olive oil + balsamic
- S&P
Don’t worry I got stuff done around the house too :)
I’ll have to post about my dessert later….Brian and I are going for an Easter Morning Run! It’s SO beautiful out!
For now I’ll describe the dessert: profiteroles with a lemon cream filling and raspberry glaze. I’m kind of making this one up but I think it sounds good, no? I always make some sort of Lemony dessert.
Hope you all have a great day…Easter or not!
Such a cute picture of you! Sounds like a fabulous weekend so far. Getting your toes done is always SUCH a treat. Hope you have fun at your mamas and that the dessert turns out well! I made a tropical fruit crisp and mint chocolate chip cookies for dessert.
ReplyDeleteI always get sucked in by the salad bar at Whole Foods. In fact I'm going their today to get stuff to make homemade granola, and I have already planned to hit the salad bar for lunch. I think they have the best salad bar with all the choices.
ReplyDeleteI love caprese salad! So delectable! That's so great you had some "me" time this weekend! We all need a little bit of that every now and then for our sanity! Super cute pink polishes too!
ReplyDeleteI love your vinyard vines whale glass; where did you get it?
